Contact with animals does pose a very small but potential risk to health.
We encourage all visitors to follow simple hygiene procedures, including washing hands with soap and warm water after touching animals. There are hand-washing facilities across the farm for you to use. Avoid putting fingers into mouths and putting faces against the animals, and cover all open cuts, scratches and grazes with a plaster.
Please do not eat or drink in the animal contact areas. There is a coffee room and a picnic area for you to have lunch, drinks and snacks.
We advise that you wear suitable clothing for the season, including closed-toe shoes, water-proofs in the rain and sun hats in the heat.
